Monique Ste-Marie, a graduate of the Montréal Centre for Contemporary Textiles, has transfused that traditional savoir-faire into a modern esthetic vision in which utility meets beauty.

Working hemp fibre with dexterity and sensibility, she fashions these round creations she calls baskets (mini, small, medium, or large), but which are in fact treasure chests. Perfect for holding plants, nuts, bread, flasks—but also your thoughts, memories and dreams.
