Ce document rapporte succinctement les actions entreprises dans la suite de la désignation Montréal Ville UNESCO de design et s’appuie sur l’une des grandes déclarations de ce chantier : « …mobiliser les différents acteurs influents du développement urbain autour du projet de [mieux] faire [concevoir, construire] la ville avec [plus] de designers ».

Quelles ont été les retombées concrètes de ce mot d’ordre ralliant l’ensemble des partenaires ? Après quatre ans d’activités du chantier et six ans depuis l’adhésion de Montréal au Réseau des villes créatives de l’UNESCO, voici un premier bilan chiffré.

Il se dégage de ce bilan quelques constats sur les accomplissements et l’état de la situation à ce jour. Les pages suivantes illustrent et répondent à certaines questions concernant :
- l’impact du chantier sur l’émergence d’une culture des concours de design et d’architecture à Montréal
- la mobilisation de différents publics
- l’ouverture de nouveaux marchés pour le milieu du design

What were the concrete results of this rallying statement? Here are the first collected results after four years of activities and six years of involvement in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network.
