In Montréal, only 3% of resources consumed yearly are fed back into the economy via recycling or reclamation. This training workshop seeks to raise awareness of circular design practices among interior designers, designers and architects at all levels, and engage them toward adoption of such practices. Its content enables participants to understand key principles of circularity while identifying challenges and opportunities and exploring tools and resources for effectively meeting them.
The workshop is divided into three sections:
1. Introduction by Patrick Marmen, Commissioner and Chief of Staff, Bureau du design: 0'55''
2. The Circular Economy in Construction, presented by Hortense Montoux, Project Manager, Circular Construction, CERIEC: 3'55''
3. Integrating Circularity into Projects and Persuading Clients, presented by Justin Dubé-Fahmy, Founding President and Creative Director, Rümker, and Marie-Anne Miljours, Circular Economy Strategy Manager, Rümker: 48'00''
