Imaginer la Place d’Armes

From October 20 to 27, 2007, a year after the Griffintown Dialogues urban design workshop, Design Montréal hosted a second urban planning vision exercise, this time aimed at developing a fresh perspective on a highly emblematic public space in Old Montréal: Place d’Armes.

Three international teams of urban designers, supported by a panel of guest experts, developed proposals for redeveloping the square. The interdisciplinary teams were made up of design professionals from Montréal, Berlin and Buenos Aires, three City of Design members of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network.
