YUL-MTL: Moving Landscapes

International Ideas Competition

The Chair in Landscape and Environmental Design at University of Montreal (CPEUM) invites Montrealers to the unveiling of the three winning projects of the international idea competition YUL-MTL: Moving Landscape.

Attended by jury chair Édouard François, the French architect and urban planner, this event will be a chance to hear the winners describe their visions for the development of the gateway corridor linking Montreal-Trudeau International Airport to the downtown core along Autoroute 20.

An initiative mandated by the Ministère des Transports du Québec, in close collaboration with the working committee on the Autoroute 20 gateway corridor, the international ideas competition YUL-MTL: Moving Landscape had the goal of gathering prospective development visions that would nourish a consensus-building process on the future of this area. The working committee included representatives of over 15 public and private organizations responsible for development and transportation in the territory of the airport/downtown corridor.
