In all, 11 proposals were submitted, with 5 candidates selected.
At this initial stage, in the interest of transparency and openness to emerging designers, the selections were made on the basis of anonymous submissions by contestants.
The second stage will consiste of presentations by the finalists in front of the jury, on October 8, 2009.
