2007 Edition
Highlights
Following Montréal’s recent designation as a UNESCO City of Design in June 2006, the Design Montréal Office, in partnership with the professional design community, launched Design Montréal Open House. The first edition was held on Saturday, May 5, 2007, noon to 5 p.m.
More than 7,000 people took advantage of the opportunity to visit, free of charge, some 40 Montréal design offices and sites that have been recognized in national and international competitions. In attendance were the designers of the winning Montréal projects that were open to visitors (e.g., buildings, public squares, parks, streets, interior spaces) or on display (e.g., furniture, signage), who commented on their creations and answered questions from the public.
