Pépinière & Co. and Jarre each win a US$5,000 merit award
The Les Jardins Gamelin project, designed by the Pépinière & Co. team of Jérôme Glad, Maxim Bragoli and Élisa Schneuwly and their collaborators, offers a new vision for Place Émilie-Gamelin, transforming the park into a large esplanade. This revamped public space, with a diversified program of activities including cultural performances and urban agriculture, takes full advantage of the site’s potential and has changed the public’s perception of an area once plagued by social problems and crime.
La Denise is a fruit and vegetable storage system reinvented by Élyse Leclerc and Gabrielle Falardeau of Jarre. It includes three sections that are perfectly designed for proper storage, reducing food waste and encouraging good eating habits.
