In Perspectives at FORUM for an identity-themed edition

For its 3rd edition, FORUM is exploring the notion of identity, with a focus on inclusive creativity and the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion. This year’s program of talks and activities will provide opportunities to discuss the role of design and designers in the process of building identities.

In the spring of 2025, mindful of systematically including underrepresented communities in the design process in Montréal, the Bureau du design published the In Perspectives approach.

By adopting this stance of engagement and amplifying a diversity of voices, the City of Montréal is acting on its commitment to welcoming and representing all communities equitably.

On Friday, September 5, Six Cinquième and Never Was Average, the firms behind the In Perspectives approach, will moderate a discussion panel on the subject. The team will also facilitate a master class on the topic of Montréal identity on Saturday, September 6 (registration required).
