Émilie F. Grenier’s materials library takes shape
The recipient of the 2014 Phyllis Lambert Grant was in Reykjavik this past March to begin her research work, in which the fields of literature and design will meet to tell a story. As a guest of the DesignMarch festival in the Icelandic capital, she presented her project Post-Luxurian Artefacts and collected stories from visitors as part of a small installation entitled Tell Me a Story. These narrative fragments will help advance her research project, which she will present on a return trip to Iceland next March.
Since her return, Ms. Grenier has continued to collect materials and deepen her research into Nordic literature. She is benefiting from the documentary resources of the Laboratoire international d'étude multidisciplinaire comparée des représentations du Nord at UQAM.
