Alain Carle has worked in the architectural filed for over twenty years. Based on an educational approach that he developed as a teacher at the School of Architecture of the Université de Montréal, his achievements are based on the critique of representation in the design process. "The quality of observation crosses all the design parameters of a project. It addresses a critical vision of the program and the collective meaning of the work. It refers to the need to "keep an eye" on our environment instead of imposing a preconceived model on it, and confronting the "perceived" as the ultimate raison d'être of architecture."
