Montréal in favour of Québec adopting an architecture policy

On September 25, city council supported the efforts of the Ordre des architectes du Québec (OAQ) to have the Québec government establish an architecture policy (Politique québécoise de l’architecture), one that would recognize Montréal’s specific character, consistent with the Status of the Metropolis and the “Réflexe Montréal” agreement.

This clip of the council session (French only) includes a reading of the city’s declaration and subsequent addresses by various elected officials regarding the importance of architectural quality to Montréal’s sustainable urban development. A press release was also issued.
