Project
To support local production and consumption of biofoods, Montréal’s Service du développement économique launched the second call for projects to organizations in the biofood sector in 2021. That call to non-profit organizations aimed to support projects in agricultural production, food processing or marketing. Besides financial support, the selected organizations benefited from support and coaching in design, with a view to increasing the impacts of their project. The format of the coaching was customized based on the specific needs of each project, with a cumulative total of 90 hours of professional support and guidance provided.

Project
Montréal’s Service du développement économique created a subsidy program for completion of projects involving sustainable development, mobility and practices in designated areas. The goals of the program are to improve living environments for workers and populations as well as the business environment, to revitalize industrial parks and economic centres, accelerate the ecological transition, contribute to combating climate change, and maintaining, facilitating and enhancing access to the employment hubs in the designated areas. Besides financial support, the organization selected for the first edition of the program is benefiting from support and coaching in design, with a view to increasing the impacts of its project. The coaching will take the form of three collaborative sessions of three hours each.
