À Hauteur d'homme

À Hauteur d’homme was founded in 2009 by Louis-Philippe Pratte. This green company works with Québec wood and systematically plants 10 times the volume of wood used to make each of its products.

Versatile little containers for office or home in sober, clean lines. Louis boxes are hand-turned from ash sourced in part from preventive cutting by the Ville de Montréal, thus favouring use of local, reclaimed resources.

Bookmarks Rosie
Winner

Tat Chao is a jack-of-all-trades, equally at ease in creation of household objects, interior design and even graphic design. He works with wood, glass, acrylic and sterling silver, not letting any particular material or process limit his creativity.

Rosie is composed of whimsical bookmarks that come together to form the rosette, symbol of our city. Here, its four constituent “hearts” symbolize Montrealers’ attachment to their city similar to that of readers to their pages.

Monsillage and M3béton
Winner

Monsillage is dedicated to the creation of original scents. m3béton designs products in concrete, transforming it into a noble material. Two women, Isabelle Michaud and Claudia Croteau. Two companies. Two art forms. One, evanescent, unforgettable, like the soul of a city; the other, solid, strong and durable, a foundation for dreaming big.

Montréal à vue de nez is a handcrafted candle nestled in a concrete “heart.” Its different scents draw inspiration from the city’s olfactory heritage, evoking its religious, maritime, horticultural or urban history. Three defining dates, engraved in concrete, a material emblematic of modern Montréal, anchor this object in our history.
