The Guide for design and architecture competitions (available in French only) was developed by the city’s Bureau du design to set out procedures for competitions held by the Ville de Montréal.
The Guide is divided into two parts:
Part 1 (introduction and fact sheets 1 to 6) gives a general description and is intended mainly for members of the municipal administration who are deciding whether to hold a competition.
Part 2 (fact sheets 7 to 12) focuses more on methodology, and is intended for members of the municipal administration who are involved in planning and holding a competition or organizing one.
